Podcasts: gone are the days of poorly edited, boring podcasts. They’ve been entirely reinvented in the last year, with some top marketing experts taking to the mic. You can find podcasts on anything: comedy, talks with your favourite celebrities, Karl Pilkington rambling about nonsense… anything.

I’ve been trialling some podcasts for the best ones for marketers. Here are my top podcast picks!

  1. The Art of Charm:

This podcast is all about ‘how to make it in work, love and life’… which has been etched into my skull. I listen to this on the way to work and it’s super interesting. They have top world-class speakers in many different areas, marketing, public speaking, insecurities, relationships, mental health… The different speakers are what makes this podcast and it just shows why it’s so popular. It’s also inclusive, you can be anyone, anywhere and it is not demeaning in anyway. They’re just nice guys, and not those ‘nice guys‘.

  2. The Digital Marketing Podcast:

This is a British based podcast and is uploaded once every two weeks. The title’s pretty self explanatory concerning what it’s actually about. Daniel and Ciaran keep it simple you know? The episodes are relatively short 20-30 minutes and pack a lot of information in about anything digital marketing based. SEO, how to maximise your Facebook reach, Controversial Marketing techniques are just a few episodes.

  3. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield:

Another self-explanatory one, hosted by Amy Porterfield, a business owner and entrepreneur. One of my favourite podcasts of hers is ‘How To Be Happier (and more profitable)’. Some of the advice from that podcast with guest, Gretchen Rubin, has stuck with me for a while. It’s actual advice that’s good. It sticks with you and her advice and her guests is really inspiring.

  4. RuPaul What’s the Tee? with Michelle Visage

Okay so this is partly a personal one and mostly myself just fangirling over them both. If you are British, you might be familiar with either or both of them. Michelle from CBB recently and/or RuPaul (aka drag queen of the world). These ‘jazzy gals’ discuss everything. Their advice is largely confidence based and let’s be honest, that’s really related to Marketing. It is very similar to RuPaul’s Drag Race, and contains a LOT of kiki and if you’re a fan, you will know what that means.
