We’re looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team at Engage Hub Manchester. The role of the Commercial Manager will be a diverse role, requiring a strong commercial acumen, creativity and experience gained from working in a creative or marketing-led organisation.
You will work closely with the Operations Director to drive forward key projects across the business, collaborating with management to make recommendations on a broad range of commercial and creative projects.
This role requires the gravitas to take the team on the journey with you and inspire them, not just to change and embrace new digital skill sets, but to excel and develop into their full capability. A young and hungry team will be looking to you to help them be successful.
Commercially you’ll ensure the team work cohesively and effectively as a unit, engaged into the businesses vision, the client’s work they are producing and essentially achieving strong commercial outcomes.
Your mission is to improve operational excellence across an already great agency team; diversify the company’s commercial offerings across products, services and revenues; and introduce new methods of engaging with the market space through digital, creative and social.
What you will do
Provide strategic guidance with product management to Account Management & Operations providing an understanding of the markets in which we operate and to help with finding new products, services and opportunities.
Ongoing monitoring of agency spend and commerciality. Evaluation and making live recommendations to ensure KPI’s are met.
Accountability for commercial KPI’s.
Setting commercial targets alongside the Operations Director.
Accountability of enforcing commercial targets set across multiple business areas such as account management, new business and marketing.
Production of monthly performance reports to Operations Director.
Act as product manager and a key sales resource for the agency.
Provide insights such as business casing and competitor analysis.
Develop recommendations, with clear rationale.
Present the output with a clear story, from current situation through to recommendation.
Support the Account and Campaign teams in framing problems and opportunities, or with commercial rationale, and the presentation of these both internally and externally.
Spearheading thought leadership and leveraging the commercial value of industry data and insights.
Help to shape our future client strategy.
