It’s no secret that Facebook has had some changes in the works recently, and their newest alteration rolled into action this week. Whilst it’s received some worry from brands and organisations, here at Engage Hub, these changes won’t affect our service at all; it actually boosts it! Engage Hub was set up to combat the very same problem that Facebook are targeting now…

So, Facebook have wanted to get back to their roots for a while now, they envisioned the social platform to be a way for friends and family to connect, and they feel that the News Feed is now too congested. Like traffic, there’s a one-way street with hundreds of vehicles trying to pass; our News Feed has become a bombardment of articles, brands, pages, videos and a few statuses thrown in the mix. To put it simply – it’s no longer tailored for you. So in a user friendly manner, Facebook have made the decision to rein back on organisations and brands, meaning you’ll see less of these posts and more from your Auntie Julie and her holiday photos.

This evolution of the News Feed is fantastic for us and our clients at Engage Hub, we don’t just schedule post after post (though core postings enhance your social feeds), our ultimate selling point is our engagement. Put it this way, if all of our core scheduled posts went unnoticed, you would still benefit from healthy and active engagement on your social accounts. So the new Facebook update doesn’t really affect our way of working – our social guys can continue to do what they do best and that’s have real time engaging conversations on your feeds all day long… And the great thing is, Facebook is prioritising this engagement, meaning your brand won’t get lost in the feed along with core posts. Perfect!
